Ibis Styles Boleslawiec: A Colorful Fusion of Tradition and Innovation

A Unique Hotel Design Inspired by Boleslawiec Ceramics

Boleslawiec, a city renowned for its ceramics, has served as the muse for the extraordinary design of Ibis Styles Boleslawiec. This hotel seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship with modern trends and innovative solutions, creating a vibrant and captivating experience for guests.

Boleslawiec's rich heritage in ceramics, characterized by its cobalt color and unique patterns, has been ingeniously incorporated into the design of Ibis Styles Boleslawiec. The hotel pays homage to the city's artistic legacy, combining traditional motifs with contemporary aesthetics and cutting-edge design techniques.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by oversized reception stands shaped like cups, immediately immersing them in the world of Boleslawiec ceramics. The vibrant and saturated spaces throughout the hotel are adorned with fanciful solutions that showcase the craftsmanship of the local artisans.

The design team at Tremend Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. has meticulously integrated the essence of Boleslawiec ceramics into every aspect of the hotel's interior. In the children's area, a wall installation allows young artists to unleash their creativity by creating their own patterns and inscriptions using building blocks.

One of the highlights of Ibis Styles Boleslawiec is the cobalt yellow rooms, which reflect the contemporary colors and directions in ceramics. Each room features elements that pay homage to the main theme, such as a carpet with a spinning potter's wheel, a table leg shaped like a wheel, and a wall panel adorned with a dot pattern.

The realization of this unique design involved a seamless fusion of modern design principles and the integration of local ceramics motifs. The result is a visually stunning and immersive experience that showcases the beauty and craftsmanship of Boleslawiec ceramics.

The Ibis Styles Boleslawiec project covers a total area of 1,210 square meters, with 300 square meters dedicated to common areas and 910 square meters allocated for hotel rooms. The design team, led by Magdalena Federowicz-Boule and supported by a talented group of designers including Kama Kowacz, Daria Cichoń, Paulina Szarzec, Renata Kuczera, Aleksander Dymkowski, Marta Szymanowska, and Martyna Wojtasik, has successfully transformed the hotel into a vibrant and captivating space.

By seamlessly integrating traditional design elements with modern trends and innovative solutions, Ibis Styles Boleslawiec offers a unique and unforgettable experience for guests. The design not only showcases the history and process of creating Boleslawiec ceramics but also serves as a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.

The Ibis Styles Boleslawiec project, which commenced in 2016 and concluded in June 2020, stands as a remarkable achievement in the field of hotel design. It has garnered recognition and acclaim, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award celebrates designs that exemplify creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life.

Ibis Styles Boleslawiec is a testament to the power of design to transform spaces and create immersive experiences. By seamlessly blending tradition with innovation, this hotel design showcases the beauty and craftsmanship of Boleslawiec ceramics, leaving a lasting impression on guests.
